SplMUN 2019 committees
United Nations Security Council
Topic : Threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts
"The aim is to address the impact of terrorist organisations on the stability of the states, mainly in Africa and in the Middle East. Delegates will consider the potential trouble that terrorism may cause to the regional and global balance of power, and how the international community can act against these potential destabilizations"
Augustin and Jean-Romain, UNSC Chairs.
United Nations Women
Topic : Revoking child, early and forced marriage
"Marriage is a commitment for life, but when it comes to children or forced marriage it not only threatens basic human rights, but it restrains the development of society. Most of the people in this case are already in delicate situations and their rights have already been jeopardized. This committee will discuss this issue and what approaches to take in order to revoke it"
Valentina and Livio, UN WOMEN Chairs
